Multimodal transportation implies several types (combinations) of cargo transportation at each stage of the cargo route. The goal is to provide the optimal combination of freight rate and travel time.
Proven schemes of typical interactions allow delivering the goods in the shortest possible time.
A flexible pricing policy of cooperation allows setting an attractive price for this service.
Constant monitoring at every stage of multimodal transportation allows timely provision of information to customers about the condition and location of the cargo.
I think you don’t need to pay personal attention to multimodal shipments as this is a very specific product and there is a team , who will be doing it perfectly for the customers’ needs. On average, every BL we are getting in 3-5 days after shipment when we have entire 21 days to present the documents for the Bank.In this way, it's easy to search and prove any Bill of lading or other document and it happens many times.

Let’s understand multimodal transportation with an example:
For instance, take a freight between St.Petersburg to Shanghai under multimodal transportation. After the cargo is packed in the containers, the carrier sends their own designated trucking company to pick up the containers in St. Petersburg. It then brings it to the St. Petersburg Port. Once the cargo arrives to the port of transportation (Hamburg or Antwerp) via feeder vessel, it should be stored for estimate a week and then loaded to next leg vessel, the ocean vessel. When the cargo reaches Shanghai, it’s again transported to the final destination by the trucking company that works under the carrier. The carrier takes full responsibility from the point of pick-up to the drop-off at the final destination, and the whole process needs only one contract form the Customer.
According to the market researсhes, there are 835 active seaports and inland ports of varying sizes on the planet which serve container facilities. There are currently 44 landlocked countries and five partially recognized landlocked states. Landlocked developing countries have significantly higher costs of international cargo transportation compared to coastal developing countries.
Svizraa company offer services routes for 184 out of 193 countries around the world.
All the main ports of calls are listed in the E-chartering system.
